One fun event at the retreat was a costume parade for the kids. Luckily, Eli and I had been working on his Halloween costume (again, with the crafts!).

We took a plan old cardboard box...

covered it with heavy-duty aluminum foil, computer buttons and glitter...

and made a robot! An EliBot, to be exact.
Eli loved his costume and wore it a LOT in the weeks leading up to Halloween.
He was super cute in it!
